AMBITION

Stoner Village approached 90U to solidify its boldly authentic identity that would be wholeheartedly embraced by Chicago's cannabis community. Their vision extends beyond premium cannabis products, weaving themselves into the city's vibrant tapestry of music, art, and culture. After all, they’re a self-proclaimed “cultural sanctuary for the soul!” By aligning their offerings with Chicago's creative spirit, we’ve redefined Stoner Village into a lifestyle that celebrates both premium quality and community.

STRATEGY 

Stoner Village’s branding, packaging, and social media content were done by yours truly, 90U. 

Stepping in time with “it takes a village,” our team gathered intel and information in abundance, forming a deep understanding of the diverse creatives and consumers to accurately reflect Chicago’s creative scene. In doing so, we were able to focus on developing an identity that encapsulated the community’s eclectic originality and urban ambiance, while maintaining accessibility. 

So began forging the path of establishing Stoner Village not just as a cannabis brand but as a cultural icon in the city. 

Branding


You’ve got to admit it: the artistically upbeat branding and logo of Stoner Village screams unadulterated fun. It evokes a giddy feeling, heightening intrigue with its welcoming energy. The colorful swirls and artistic logo beautifully reflect the fusion of cannabis, music, and art, appealing directly to the cultural pulse of Chicago.

Stoner Village’s packaging is a combo of style, functionality, and storytelling for a lasting impression on customers…both in-store and online.

 We made the background a firm black, allowing for the bold, yet minimalistic visuals and logo to take center stage. The unique color palettes appeal to modern and sleek aesthetics for a cohesive brand identity. To align with Stoner Village's commitment to sustainability, we used eco-friendly premium materials, reflecting the quality and care placed into every product. The design stands out on a crowded shelf, creating a memorable unboxing experience that turns first-time buyers into loyal fans.

Serving on social media is so pivotal, and luckily the Chicago community (and beyond!) came together, allowing for several home runs. For Stoner Village, we worked on crafting culturally rich, engaging content that celebrates the community through artist spotlights, exciting musical features, and cannabis education, fostering connection and inspiration. 

This has been paired organically with our comprehensive digital marketing strategy, combining curated content design with impactful campaigns across multiple platforms to maximize reach and engagement across the creative fibers of Chicago. 

Through strategic design, storytelling, and audience assimilation, Stoner Village has morphed into an experience.

We’ve secured significant brand recognition, with over 300,000 monthly impressions across digital channels. Plus, their sales have soared through online visibility, establishing Stoner Village as the premier destination for cannabis and culture, with products now available in over 95% of local dispensaries!
